I previously made an Incredible Free Money Offer to James Annan and William Connolley: $4 for every vote on my Long Bet #181 from an English-speaking IPCC Third Assessment Report (TAR) primary or secondary author, up to $200.
I am now increasing the amount of the offer to an even more incredible $8 per vote (up to $200)! In other words, I will give them (collectively) $200, if they can get 25 English-speaking IPCC TAR primary or secondary authors to vote on my Long Bet #181. I'll pay, even if the votes are against my position.
I also previously challenged them to match my offer. I bet them $20 each that they wouldn't. I'm improving that challenge/offer, also. I now challenge them to give me $4 for every vote I obtain from an IPCC TAR primary or secondary author...but only up to the $20 I'm betting that they won't! In other words, they can't lose anything from accepting this challenge, because their risk is limited to the $20 that I will give them if they accept the challenge.
If James Annan and William Connolley refuse these remarkable offers, I definitely will question their honesty/accuracy when they write that they think the IPCC TAR contains accurate projections. If the IPCC TAR does contain accurate projections, why would any IPCC TAR author be unwilling to publicly say so? Why would any IPCC TAR author be unwilling to vote on the bet?
These incredible offers will remain open for a period of two months, until August 23, 2005. If neither of them accepts the offers by then, I will assume that they're unwilling to put my money where their mouth's are!
